About

Dr Lynne Smith is a Clinical Psychologist and psychotherapist specializing in working with adults. She is experienced in assessing and treating a range of acute psychological problems and mental health disorders, including mood and anxiety disorders, as well as addressing long-standing issues and personality vulnerabilities. Lynne collaborates closely with her clients to help them achieve their goals through tailored, evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
In addition to CBT, Lynne incorporates psychodynamic approaches informed by object relations and attachment theory. This deeper form of psychotherapy focuses on uncovering unconscious patterns, psychological defenses, and relational dynamics. It is particularly beneficial for individuals with long-standing mood or anxiety difficulties, histories of childhood relational trauma, or chronic dissatisfaction in relationships. Outcomes of this approach can include greater self-awareness, personal growth, improved relationships, and enhanced overall well-being.
